Meet the Hosts
Lifelong friends and lifelong scientists. Aarati and Maria share a thirst for knowledge and a somewhat weird sense of humor.
Aarati Asundi, PhD
Aarati completed her PhD in Biomedical Sciences from UCSF. After graduating, she joined YouWeb Incubator and started her own science communications company, Sykom. She loves bringing science, art and storytelling together to help shine a light on research and technological breakthroughs.
Maria Sisneroz, DPT
Maria completed her doctorate in physical therapy from Northwestern University. She practiced for seven years at which point she decided to pivot and pursued a degree in electrical engineering from Arizona State University. She is currently working for the U.S. Air Force and is in test pilot training.

Arpita Gopal DPT, PhD
Arpita co-hosted the podcast for the first 30 episodes. She currently works at a health care company as a product manager. If she’s not at her desk, you’ll probably find her buried in a thriller novel, searching for the best new ramen spot, or cuddling her two cats.
